I operate one of these trucks. We just got the truck in a week or so ago. An the gripper be closing on its own while reaching out for the cart. Have you had any issues with that happening to you.

We got re group here halifax nova Scotia they got a pile of them on macks and gfl has a new 2 on a western star very nice

It would be cool if there could be a version of it made for more bulky waste such as dryers, for example a bigger auger and a hydraulic side panel that pushes stuff into the hopper.

This is insanely wasteful. Theres lots of parts on that car that can be recycled. It looks like a good way to get rid of human bodies

If this truck was made for picking 300 gallon bins it would be the perfect side loader!

This is like the trucks I remember here in the Uk as a kid way back in the 70's. They were made by Glover Webb & Liversedge, or by Swedish firm Norba. They seemed to be able to eat anything on the menu as well. One turned up in a scrapyard not far from me recently, an ex-Brighton Corporation one I think. Can only hope someone saves it !

The car appears to be a shell only. You can't see the engine compartment, so an "engine biter" most likely removed the engine and drive line before it was loaded into the hopper. I don't see the manufacturer replying to any of the comments, so we may never know.
